The PDP Norway Chapter is under the large umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party in Nigeria. The Norway Chapter, like other international chapters was established out of the recognition of the need for involvement of all Nigerians in Nation reconstruction and (re)building of a lasting democratic system.
Although PDP is presently the ruling party in Nigeria and has only been in Government for three short political terms, its achievements have changed the lives of Nigerian people both at home and abroad for the better. We know that the journey to a better Nigeria has been rough and tough, and we also know that there are still huge challenges to overcome, but we can be very proud of the progress the ruling government has delivered to the country. While we acknowledge that everything is not perfect now, Nigeria is without doubt, a better and more stable country.
Increasing trade and international investment coupled with improved communication has helped to present huge opportunities and growth for the Nigerian economy. The government is working hard to revitalise the public services and public infrastructure. Our main aim at the PDP Norway Chapter is to work with the entire Nigerian community in Norway in educating Nigerians in the Diaspora about the economic changes that Nigeria is currently undergoing and encouraging them to come forward to participate in the development and political process. Apart from being a Chapter that is committed to managing and sustaining the positive image and perception of PDP and Nigeria within Nigerian and International communities, we also help to provide the platform for our people to get involved in the political and economic process in Nigeria.
Due to our sustained involvement and direct link to the Home land, right from remote wards, constituencies, Local governments up to State and Federal levels, we have been able to sponsor and mobilise grass root support for our PDP candidates.
We therefore urge you to join us in the building of a nation that is wealthier with less people living in poverty, a nation that is healthier, with vital health services kept locally available and a nation that is safer with more equity and justice.
